Joint owners will gain expanded digital access, even if they are not currently an Alliant member. This applies to:
Savings account, checking accounts, and certificate products
Personal loans, auto loans, and home equity lines of credit
Select the account, choose “Account Details,” and click on "Manage Joint Owners"
Confirm each joint owner's:
Email
Mobile number
Mailing address
Remove any joint owner you do not want to have access, as permissible
Important:
For deposit accounts, removing a joint owner may reduce your total NCUA insurance coverage. Each joint owner can add up to $250,000 in additional coverage.
Co-borrowers cannot be removed from loan accounts.
Joint owners cannot be removed from Kids Savings or Teen Checking accounts.
Minor accounts
Adult joint owners of Kids Savings and Teen Checking accounts will manage these accounts through their Alliant Digital Banking dashboard.
Children under 13 (Kids Savings): You will manage your child’s account using your own login. Your child’s current username and password will be disabled after the update.
Teens ages 13-17 (Teen Checking): Teens will keep their current login and can continue everyday tasks. Some actions, such as reporting a lost or stolen debit card, will be handled by the parent or guardian.
Select the account, choose “Account Details,” and click on "Manage Joint Owners"
Confirm the joint owner’s email address is current
FAQs
We’ll keep you informed every step of the way. As we get closer to launch, you’ll see updates in online banking and the mobile app, plus via email.
You can help ensure a smooth transition by making sure your personal information is up to date. We’ll guide you through any changes when the time comes, and our member service team will be here to help ensure a smooth transition.
Absolutely. We’re working to ensure uninterrupted access and no disruptions to system availability.
To support updated security, privacy, and platform capabilities, children under age 13 will no longer have individual digital banking access after the transition to the new Alliant Digital Banking experience.
Accounts for minors under 13 can still be viewed and managed by a parent or guardian who is a joint owner on the account. This ensures continued oversight while aligning with updated access standards.
You can continue to manage your child’s Kids Savings account through your own Alliant Digital Banking login. Once your child turns 13, they will be eligible for their own digital banking access.
Zelle® and the Zelle® related marks are wholly owned by Early Warning Services, LLC and are used herein under license. To send or receive money with Zelle®, both parties must have an eligible checking or savings account. Transactions between enrolled users typically occur in minutes.
